NEXALLOY ER4047

ER4047 is an aluminum welding alloy with a 12% silicon content, originally designed for brazing. It features high fluidity, a narrow freezing range, a low melting point, and minimal shrinkage. ER4047 serves as a versatile, free-flowing filler metal, offering excellent resistance to corrosion and hot cracking during welding. It is also suitable for use at elevated temperatures over extended periods.

This alloy is available in spools and cut lengths for MIG, TIG, and brazing applications on materials such as 1060, 1350, 3003, 3004, 3005, 5005, 5050, 6053, 6061, 6951, 7005, as well as cast alloys 710.0 and 711.0. ER4047 has a melting range of 1070-1080°F and a density of 0.96 lbs/ci. It typically has a tensile strength of 27,500 psi, with a post-anodized color of gray-black.
