Nexal Aluminum ER5356 Premium TIG ROD

ER5356 is a 5% magnesium aluminum filler metal, available in spools and cut lengths for both MIG and TIG applications. It features higher levels of magnesium (Mg), titanium (Ti), and manganese (Mn), along with the addition of chromium and a slight reduction in silicon. These modifications enhance its corrosion resistance, making it an ideal choice for applications in or near saltwater environments.

Commonly used with base metals like 5050, 5052, 5083, 5356, 5454, and 5456, ER5356 is the second most widely used aluminum filler metal. It has a melting range of 1060-1175°F, a density of 0.96 lbs/ci, and a typical tensile strength of 38,000 psi. Its post-anodized color is white. Available in all standard diameters and packaging.
Nexalloy ER5356 conforms to: AWS A5.10, CWB, and ABS.
